@StopBeck responds to @GlennBeck via twitter as Glenn mischaracterizes Angelo’s accountability effort

.@glennbeck I’m not ‘dedicated to bringing you down.’ — I’m committed to media accountability and restoring responsibility.

.@glennbeck You are welcome to mischaracterize me and our participants efforts, but recognize this only proves my point.

For those wondering, yes, Glenn talked about us today. Guess he didn’t like @aterkel's article: http://huff.to/gM9Kbe

As appealing as @glennbeck's sudden interest in our efforts is, let's call it what it is: A feeble attempt to distract from #Foxileaks

@StopBeck

More info about #Foxileaks here, leaked internal email from Fox that shows what goes on behind the scenes. The email makes it pretty clear Fox’s agenda is pimping news that supports conservative positions while ignoring facts to the contrary.

@StopBeck keeps an eye on advertisers who pulled ads from @GlennBeck’s ignorant, paranoid, racist and irresponsible show

Kaplan advised the ad ran by mistake, tweeting:

Helzberg Diamonds Removes Ads From Glenn Beck’s Show. FuckYea@GlennBeck!!

Helzberg Diamonds’ ads recently started running on Glenn Beck’s program on Fox News.

As with other advertisers, the StopBeck effort reached out to Helzberg Diamonds.  We kindly requested that they follow the responsible action of hundreds of other former advertisers and refrain from advertising on Glenn Beck’s show.

In a statement sent to the StopBeck effort, Helzberg Diamonds advised that they were removing their ads from Glenn Beck’s show:

Thanks for raising the concern. We’ve reviewed the marketing schedule and made the decision to remove our commercials from that time slot. With commitments already made and to provide professional notice, this will go into effect next week. We appreciate your feedback and responsiveness.
